New Outlook with multiple accounts

Hi,

In the new outlook, I have 6 email accounts. They all transferred in with the transition just fine. However, there does not appear to be a way to know which email accounts have new mail in them other than clicking on each account. And to add injury to insult, when you click on an account, you get another drop down menu.

I am in windows 11 and the 365 subscription version of outlook.

I absolutely need to see at a glance which accounts have new email in them on the main account screen. When an account does have new email, I need to be able to click on that email and have the inbox open with one click and not give me another menu to click through.,

Without these features you are adding a ridiculous amount of time to what should be a two second glance to check emails.

These are not wants, they are absolute needs.

Can anyone help? Or is time to find a new app?

    I'm still using the Old client, but it is unstable and soft-locks regularly. Sometimes it recovers, often it does not.

    I have an outlook.com, a couple of ISP hosted custom domain exchange accounts, an ISP hosted IMPA custom domain IMAP, and a few gmails.

    Can anyone suggest a better client than Outlook?

    If I get rid of Outlook I can probably get rid of my Office365 subscription too, at the time Outlook was only bundled with a higher tier O365 and I have been sitting on it for about 12 years!

    I am still using the old Mail app despite being forced to uninstall "New Outlook" every time I so much as restart my PC. If I don't uninstall "New Outlook" then it auto redirects the moment you try to open the old Mail app (in addition to closing out of it).

    Why is MC forcing this down our throats? No idea. Will I be able to open the Mail app in the future? Probably not for long...

    Why Microsoft? Why are you forcing my hand on such a small but super annoying issue? Why can I not disable the switch to "New Outlook?"

    I don't ask for much, but I need a combined email inbox for the five emails I am forced to have for my work, school, and pleasure. I WILL NOT pay for a subscription or use some 3rd party app to have this simple convenience.

    Please fix this. I beg you.

    a bit of an error...this is a mess, also visually terrible and cluttered! I hate it with a passion. Also no refresh button . **** were they thinking.?

    Microsoft needs to pull their head out of their **** and make functional software, instead of bloatware.

    That is OK solution - but MSoft will can Outlook Classic in 2029 and then it will be their online 365 option only.

    Given that Outlook Classic is just a 'version' of 365, IMO they will just 'switch' people over automatically.

    MSoft has committed to providing their 'services' as online options only - no more 'once off' purchases.

    That is their corporate plan (to make more money and to lock customers in) - like Google.

    Hopefully someone sees the opportunity soon and will offer their own 'once off' desktop/laptop Application.

    But the reality is that the majority of email user accounts are businesses - that is where the big bucks are.

    Personally, my workaround is OK, but I am waiting and watching to see how things develop over the next 3-5 years.

    I assume by 2030 it will be no longer be an option to have your own stand-alone App work with Outlook email services.

    They gave it for free, and that locked in a lot of Users - now they want all of them moving to their 'business model'.
