Hi,
In the new outlook, I have 6 email accounts. They all transferred in with the transition just fine. However, there does not appear to be a way to know which email accounts have new mail in them other than clicking on each account. And to add injury to insult, when you click on an account, you get another drop down menu.
I am in windows 11 and the 365 subscription version of outlook.
I absolutely need to see at a glance which accounts have new email in them on the main account screen. When an account does have new email, I need to be able to click on that email and have the inbox open with one click and not give me another menu to click through.,
Without these features you are adding a ridiculous amount of time to what should be a two second glance to check emails.
These are not wants, they are absolute needs.
Can anyone help? Or is time to find a new app?

Using New Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management

You pieces of sh*t replaced the Mail app with is BS slow AF new version and removed Unified Inbox. Don't even have the decency to say the truth (you literally forced us into switching). This is what happens when a company gets so big that doesn't give a **** what its users want and focuses on features with higher ROI.
One of the most frustrating things about being a paid Microsoft customer is that they just don't listen to customer feedback. There are so many complaints about simple, fixable things that are either massive oversights or just plain bad design choices.
If you charge a one-off fee for software, I'm fine with it never changing or getting better. What I paid for is what I get. But when you pay for a subscription, it begs the question, what exactly am I paying for?
Nothing ever gets fixed and nothing ever gets better.
If you could spare maybe 1 or 2 devs from the AI or spam desktop ads, I'm sure this could have been resolved by now. The fact that even Mac users have access to a unified inbox is just bizarre.
Any users with suggestions for alternatives to Office365, please leave them here. It would be great if everyone reading could know that not only are users angry, there are also better places to spend their money.
I just found out why I prefer Outlook 2010.
under ***@ ********.com I have a folder marked Tims stuff and in that folder is ham radio….. in 2010 I can drag an email from ***@ ********.com to that ham radio folder. (*** address inserted for privacy in this reply only)
In 365 I cannot do that, it says that operation is not supported….. so in 365 with multiple email addresses you are not allowed to file your emails where you want them.
Unless you can tell me different that just proves that 365 is rubbish.
I am having the same issue. On the "Old Outlook" desktop client, there is simply a section called "all accounts" where I can see the combined inboxes. It's becoming very frustrating having Outlook constantly switching to "New Outlook" without this functionality. As others have mentioned, I won't be able to use Outlook on desktop without this feature.
Seems to me that MS Outlook suffers from what is now called "Dissociative identity disorder (DID)" Hopefully they will voluntarily seek proper professional treatment.
