Dear MS, If you wish to replace an application (developed over 20+ years) then make it functionally equivalent.

Until then don't bother with trying to push the <removed> that is the new Outlook onto people to test.

Outlook | Windows | New Outlook for Windows | For home

    AMEN!

I'd love to know what pretend geniuses came up with this garbage. This is a %100 dumbed-down version of the existing Outlook app. I never thought there could be a desktop version of OL worse than OWA but Microsoft has proven me wrong.

Let's see just what all you no longer can do, features lost that Microsoft is marketing as a plus, a step forward.

    1. Sorting By column header to group your messages by Sender, Subject, Attachments b/c there are no more columns. Yes you can get to a sort by but it's limited to a handful of choices not including things like Attachment.
    2. Adding additional columns to your inbox or trying to customize your Inbox view in any way other than a handful if insignificant options are now gone
    3. Expect to put in more hours at work if you use email b/c this is absolutely going to negatively impact your productivity.

It sucks because half of my emails are no-where to be seen, only because I went directly into my gmail account, is how I found them

How do I get rid of the "New" Outlook and install a prior version? This is so confusing and difficult to manipulate.

I do not want an "App" for my laptop. I want the Outlook software that came with Office.

I had no idea that Office no longer incorporated Outlook in the package.

Rick - This may vary based on your company's setup, any restrictions IT has in place but you should still have a slider in the top right area of OL that if you slide back it will revert to the real OL and not this web based wanna be cheap mobile like email app knock off.

That's standard operating procedures. The company will continuously ask you "how is X going" or "How do you like X" and if you reply positively that may get selected to be included in their literature of testimonies but if it's genuine criticism and not sucking up it's more likely to be heard/read by no one.

MS feigns care for customer feedback. This is because they know that most of the business is done thru 1 or a few people at teh company so the MS reps really need only keep that decision maker happy and not the rest of teh companies users. In the world of MS Office, Microsoft really only needs to make happy the 1 or few decision makers at a company, the ones who renew the MS Office license. As long as those people are happy MS can put out half baked garbage like with this New OL knock-off and get away with it.

WARNING: If you try to say something about how bad it is to higher ups at your work there's a good chance you'll be told something along teh lines of you not being a "team player"; it's a favorite shame word frim management.
