hate the new outlook that is replacing win mail. any alternative that is similar to win mail that is simple and fast to load?
this is probably worse than the decision to remove group all at task bar and so many people refused to upgrade to win 11 because of that. what is Ms thinking?

Well, I found an alternative to Windows 10 Mail. I now use Mailbird which is very similar . Simple, pleasant user interface and background somewhat customizable...in fact, I purchased it for the year I was THAT annoyed with Outlook being forced upon me.
Mailbird is free unless you want to add more than one account. There are different payment options. Sigh ..
Update to my email of Feb 22nd: I thought I'd be switching between Outlook and Thunderbird regularly to compare the two, but Thunderbird seems to work so well that I use it all the time now.
Looking ahead to the 2026 Classic Outlook cliff edge: does anyone know if Mozilla and Thunderbird work OK with the Google Flex OS on a Chromebook, please?
Totally agree. I am for change when it is an improvement, but change just to change or go backwards is stupid!
