hate the new outlook that is replacing win mail. any alternative that is similar to win mail that is simple and fast to load?

thanks for reply. i found Mailbird which looks like Old outlook. 'course you have to pay for it.. I got the standard plan up to three email accounts for $49 yearly. i can deal with that., much more pleasant and easy on the eye.

I previously spent quite a bit of time trying dealing with the new Outlook. I could not convert my existing contacts (years worth of contacts and contact lists) as well as many calendar events. So many features are missing on the new Outlook. After giving up on using the new Outlook, I tried getting back to my 'classic' Outlook without success. It seems that it was deleted by MS when I installed the new Office 365. Your suggestion and link worked! I'm back in business. Many hours of effort will be saved by reverting to the classic version.

I'm still at a loss as to why MS is offering the new Outlook. It is clearly an inferior product. Why would anyone consider changing from the classic version to the new version?

Have used Classic Outlook since day 1 and it simply works for me.

I made the mistake of purchasing MS 365 and ended up with the New Outlook.

If you purchased 365 you should have classic available. You can use Classic instead of New.

Have used Classic Outlook since day 1 and it simply works for me. New Outlook does import contacts but has no Tasks function, and no way of importing my existing calendar and mail boxes - it's just not a usable alternative. No File button for the imports!

If these problems aren't solved by the April 2026 deadline, I'll simply have to stop using Outlook and start relying on Google Mail and Calendar- or take a deep breath and try moving to Thunderbird. Outlook is by far the main reason I have a MS 365 sub, with occasional use of Excel and Word. I'm thinking of moving to Google Sheets and Docs for those uses if Classic Outlook ends with no usable New Outlook in place - and dumping MS 365 altogether.

There must be a huge number of ****ed off Microsoft customers in the same position. Microsoft - please get your act together and issue a complete working New Outlook ASAP!

I'm in agreement with AndrewBanks#keyboard. I made the mistake of purchasing MS 365 and ended up with the New Outlook. I cannot import pst files or ics files, as I did with Outlook Classic. MS Help provided a suggestion for my pst problem, but it didn't work. The feature they recommended does not exist in my New Outlook. New Outlook has extremely limited capabilities. My next step will be to look for alternatives to Outlook and perhaps dump MS 365.

I agree that there must be many ****ed off MS customers. What is wrong with that company?
