hate the new outlook that is replacing win mail. any alternative that is similar to win mail that is simple and fast to load?

I also hate New Outlook. Windows 10 Mail was great. Lightweight, fast, all my email addresses worked, sync'd across all my devices. Google Contacts sync'd so I only had to add a contact in one spot. No Ads! I have 3 email accounts that don't work anymore in New Outlook that were fine, for years, in Mail and you screwed up a good thing and forced me into something annoying and that decreases work efficiency. Someone should be fired.

Totally agree with all the feedback above - the new outlook is a _BIG_ step backwards - too slow and clunky, and more button clicks to achieve the same result. If you are going to upgrade to a new version it needs to be better, faster, and easier to use!

thanks for sharing - thunderbird feels like just a web browser like i open 5 tabs at the same time. em can't as i have like 5 accounts. sigh. i think more than enough people have complaint about replacing win 10. don't believe MS will listen

The new Outlook app is just a web app. You're accessing your mailbox using a web browser API rather than a real client. Microsoft is working on improving it, but I don't think it's really ready for prime-time yet. You asked about alternate mail clients. One of the most popular is Thunderbird, but eM Client is a good choice as well. Both are free, but eM Client is free only for personal use with up to two accounts. It can support Exchange, IMAP and POP. Thunderbird doesn't handle Exchange so it can't sync non-mail data like calendar and contacts, although it does support CalDAV and CardDAV so you can add calendars and contacts that can be published with those protocols and you can see them in Thunderbird. It does have local calendar and contacts, though, if I recall.

Since the New Outlook is still under development, you can use the Classic Outlook desktop application for now.

The New Outlook is still in development by Microsoft and new features will be added over the next couple of months.
