this is probably worse than the decision to remove group all at task bar and so many people refused to upgrade to win 11 because of that. what is Ms thinking?

You need to set back the default program for creating emails. This can be done in windows settings (search default program). However there is no way to choose weather you want to create a business or personal email outside of both apps. If for example there is a link email to in a website, the default program will open. You can’t decide which mailbox to choose.

Yes, I want to use Thunderbird for my Yahoo account which my camera systems use, but I want to use Outlook for my business accounts. I used windows mail for the Yahoo account before because I wanted it segregated from my other email stuff. Since Microsoft canned a perfectly good client and replaced it with the new Outlook that does nothing right, I'm still searching for a viable alternative.

You’re running both email clients at the same time?

Ok. Now I'm hating Thunderbird. It hijacked the default email client function and using the windows control panel default programs doesn't change it back to Outlook. If I uninstall it, Outlook is the default(all of my business information is in there.) If I reinstall it, any of my programs that generate emails pop up the emails in Thunderbird. NOT what I want. Trying to find a fix, but it seems I'm not the only one with this issue by far.
