hate the new outlook that is replacing win mail. any alternative that is similar to win mail that is simple and fast to load?

this is probably worse than the decision to remove group all at task bar and so many people refused to upgrade to win 11 because of that. what is Ms thinking?

I prefer Windows Live Mail (WLM) as well. Neither the web version nor the app version of Outlook allows you to "organize" emails by subject line; only by conversation, which is totally different. I have several types of emails that have the same exact subject line even though the contents [body] of the email are different; therefore, when grouped by "subject line", I could see/read all of those emails back to back whether the email was received today or months ago. To "organize" by "conversation" only allows replies to that one specific email be "organized" together.

In addition, it was so much easier to save an email (or multiple emails at one time) to a file folder on the computer or even to a flash drive just by sliding the/those email(s) over to that folder/flash drive. Can't do so with the Outlook web version nor the app. You have to literally "save or download" one at a time which is very time consuming because now I keep getting a download alert asking me if I'm sure, etc. In addition, as mentioned, the Outlook app only allows you to slide only one (1) email over at a time to save to your computer. You literally have to slide one at a time which is a problem as it takes up too much time to do so.

I've tried that with Windows refusing to revert to the previous version. It might be possible after a clean rebuild of Windows although with corporate-America having control, even over our own computers, it might not work.

At this point, we can only hope a group of enterprising developers build a standalone that does what we all liked. Then again MS legal eagles will make their lives H**l!
