Please, read this thread from the start. No junk mail settings helps here. If you have another issue, feel free to start another thread.

Unfortunately I have only 2 settings for junk mail - either Standard or Strict. I have Standard checked - you cannot unselect it.

I have never understood why hotmail is opened in Outlook - seems weird - but that's how it is for me.

Hotmail doesn't exist anymore, it's renamed to Outlook for some time now.

Microsoft owns Hotmail and that is probably the problem.. I would suggest getting a different email (non Hotmail) although I know it is a pain in the butt. I believe a person should have about 4 different email addresses to use for different types of communication.

sorry you didn't understand the solution that worked for me. I did NOT change the setting for junk email in Outlook although Outlook is set to let all emails pass through. I changed it on the server where my emails are stored.

People unfortunately don't read. I already posted about being almost sure it's an 'issue' on Microsoft's side a while ago and I saw your post too kind of confirming what I already assumed. But nevertheless, people in here keep trying to find settings that will do the trick (although some people apparently have settings that work, but they should've found that out before posting here IMO).
