Using New Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
This fixed it for me :)

Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I cannot spellcheck in the new outlook 20231215008.08 . The editor is greyed out in the edit options. I have edge as my default browser and the MS editor ext in edge. Keep in mind I am talking about the New Outlook APP, but I am unsure if it feeds off od edge settings for the app.

Finally someone who has found an answer to Microsoft's balls ups!
Oh apparently you need to open Microsoft Edge... surprise surprise and download a spelling extension for it, why what has this to do with New Outlook?
Anyway it doesn't matter as it still doesn't work anyway!
Installed Windows 11 recently so no option to go back to the Old Outlook, yet again forcing things on users they don't want. New Outlook is garbage I don't want it and I don't want to use Edge either!
Who comes up with this ****?
Once again THANK YOU Mr Smith!!!
Thank You! I have been pulling my hair out trying figure this out.
Thank you this also just fixed it for me as well :)
the extension doesn't fix this issue it only adds a spell check to the browser. You have to follow the steps to turn on the "experience" that was outlined above but only for the version of outlook 1.2024.516.100.
