I cannot spellcheck in the new outlook 20231215008.08 . The editor is greyed out in the edit options. I have edge as my default browser and the MS editor ext in edge. Keep in mind I am talking about the New Outlook APP, but I am unsure if it feeds off od edge settings for the app.

Pretty simple worked for me as well. Been hours trying to find solution.
thank you
This actually works!
None of what you put on this site worked for me - I have just recently bought a new laptop and Microsoft 365 and I'm so sorry that I didn't go with Apple. At least, with Apple you can speak to then - unlike Microsoft who think they're Gods. Microsoft should have fixed this glitch ages ago but no, we, who have paid good money for an inferior product now have to live with it. Large corporations should NEVER be allowed hide behind anonymity, with no direct contact numbers or emails access.
Hi Anset 1, this fix is for the New Outlook App for Windows and not for the one in Microsoft 365. For Microsoft 365 to work there are other fixes and since you paid for it you can contact support. I believe for MS 365 you have to download the online editor Free Online Text Editor Software | Microsoft Editor. Failing that contact Microsoft.
