I cannot spellcheck in the new outlook 20231215008.08 . The editor is greyed out in the edit options. I have edge as my default browser and the MS editor ext in edge. Keep in mind I am talking about the New Outlook APP, but I am unsure if it feeds off od edge settings for the app.

See this reply from Roger Bear Smith on 21 Jul that fixes the problem in the New Windows Outlook App. It seems like Win 10 or prior because my Win 11 worked.

    In new Outlook.

Navigate to Settings > General > Privacy and Data > Privacy Settings.

Enable Turn on experiences that analyze your content.

Please report this to the App developers so they can troubleshoot why this somehow enables the editor to work in the App.

Maybe they can rollout a fix.

Finally someone who has found an answer to Microsoft's balls ups!

Oh apparently you need to open Microsoft Edge... surprise surprise and download a spelling extension for it, why what has this to do with New Outlook?

Anyway it doesn't matter as it still doesn't work anyway!

Installed Windows 11 recently so no option to go back to the Old Outlook, yet again forcing things on users they don't want. New Outlook is garbage I don't want it and I don't want to use Edge either!

Who comes up with this ****?

Once again THANK YOU Mr Smith!!!
