I cannot spellcheck in the new outlook 20231215008.08 . The editor is greyed out in the edit options. I have edge as my default browser and the MS editor ext in edge. Keep in mind I am talking about the New Outlook APP, but I am unsure if it feeds off od edge settings for the app.

From above if you read the thread. In New Outlook, Navigate to Settings > General > Privacy and Data > Privacy Settings.

Enable Turn on experiences that analyze your content.

I have the same problem. Editor is grayed out and offers no way to turn it on. If I go back to the original outlook, spell check and other are available.

Hi Don, I have Microsoft Office Home and Business 2021 which is an outright purchase. When I tried contacting Microsoft support, this message came up:

    “Chat with a support agent

You're currently using a free email account.

If you switch to a paid Microsoft 365 subscription, you can chat with a Microsoft support agent. Select 'Get Microsoft 365' to view plans and pricing.”

Say what??? All I want is for the Microsoft Editor to work (not greyed out) and I get this! The Microsoft version I have came with Outlook and I have paid for it. This is outrageous - that we are unable to get any support from Microsoft and have to rely on public goodwill to get by. FOR GOODS we PAID Microsoft for.

Hi Anset 1, this fix is for the New Outlook App for Windows and not for the one in Microsoft 365. For Microsoft 365 to work there are other fixes and since you paid for it you can contact support. I believe for MS 365 you have to download the online editor Free Online Text Editor Software | Microsoft Editor. Failing that contact Microsoft.
