How do I log off the new outlook app for pc. I dont see file , a button with my initials, my email, none of the usual log off solutions

This is insane. This is the worst update I have ever seen. My emails aren't loading across devices. I can see an email on my iPhone app but not on the computer. It's saving emails as drafts even if I sent the email, I ended up sending same email 4 times before I realized what it was doing. What is going on with this thing? Why did you have to ruin a good thing? Just for the sake of having a new version?

This does not help. I logged out as suggested. I restarted the computer. My emails then appeared in the outlook app without having to log back in.

I want to sign out of outlook email.

Hello Adriana H Hi, I'm Karl and will be happy to help you today. There is no logoff option in the "new Outlook" which is no different than the Mail app which it will eventually permanently replace. The "new Outlook" is essentially "Outlook on the web" wrapped in an app framework with the added functionality to add external IMAP accounts. Unlike accessing sn Outlook.com account via a browser which only involved the one account, the "new Outlook" can hav up to 10 accounts configured. As for the "File" tab, that only applies to the classic Outlook desktop program (part of Office). There is also no logoff option in Outlook desktop. I have the same issue. From my laptop I've logged out on the outlook browser, so I do have to log in with password so that's ok, but I can't log out of the new outlook app.

I've removed account which says it will sign you out, but it doesn't

Manage Account

• In Accounts > Email Accounts click Manage
• Click Remove

I've deleted the New outlook app, but if it is opened on a search, my email accounts show and it goes straight into both my mail accounts without asking for a password. I've signed out of all microsoft accounts, forget trusted device, removed my laptop from microsoft account and more that has been suggested when searching on this subject, but still on the app on laptop it goes straight into both my mail accounts.

Surely there must be a way to sign out of my mail accounts on the new outlook app. This is such a security risk. I need to leave my laptop with a repair shop and they will be able to access all my email accounts

I am also concerned about not being able to sign out of outlook.

Its quite involved amd the outlook app cannot hurt me anymore. A nuclear option of sorts. Lobotomy of an App.

If it's one of many accounts or you wanna make a dummy account, Carson Perkins' method should work as follows:

Hover over your email/account name on the left above "Inbox"

Click the 3 dots

Click Manage Account

In Accounts > Email Accounts click Manage

Click Remove
