How do I log off the new outlook app for pc. I dont see file , a button with my initials, my email, none of the usual log off solutions

You can also sign out by switching back to the classic Outlook.

The only thing I have found that works consistently is to sign out of my Microsoft Account Everywhere

When I tested this, it took about 8 hours to finally log me out of my New Outlook For Windows app. (Doc says it can take up to 24 hours).

Please explain why this is a good idea.

Yeah, that won't work, even if it did it would not be a solution for a business, it's too cumbersome.

The reason it won't work (I assume) is because we have a 365 small business tenant, of which I am the only admin. There is no "Device menu" on the user web interface.

Thanks anyway though. Hopefully we won't get forced to use the new Outlook soon, it will be a debug nightmare for any issues.

So you are saying i can no longer use hotel computer to ck my email, right? or a friend's or ANY OTHER COMPUTER?? That is absolute BS!
