Outlook 2016 App Search Bar

One of my clients woke to a new search bar in Outlook 2016 right next to the regular search bar, the new search bar is called "App Search", it is bigger than the regular search bar, pushes it aside to the point that it is too small to work with, and the App Search bar itself doesn't work at all, you can click it but nothing happens, I have tried to find a way to remove it but even uninstalling and reinstalling the whole office suite the App Search bar still remains, she has two computers but only one is affected by it.

I would like some help with it, or at least make a notice of it so Microsoft can fix this bug.

    You can do the following, it worked for me. It's a temp. fix.

    I copied it from a post from user: ElissaMaxine Karpf

    you can Run Commmand with Run as administrator

    And paste this on command Prompt it will work.

    “C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\ClickToRun\OfficeC2RClient.exe” /update user updatetoversion=16.0.17029.20108

    Is this supposed to take a VERY long time? I've had the "Downloading Microsoft 365 and Office Updates" screen loading for at least 20 minutes.

    Fix worked well for me. Will enable updates again on 2/14.

    The Command: OfficeC2RClient.exe /update user updatetoversion=16.0.17029.20108 works fine for me, however, upon every update the App Search Box comes back which can be removed again by re-applying the same command.

    I have applied the other instructions in the provided link:
    OfficeC2RClient.exe /changesetting Channel=SemiAnnual

    OfficeC2RClient.exe /update user

    Waiting to see if this doesn't come back in the short term.
