We just switched to the new Outlook and now it will not automatically capitalize like the older version would. Is there any way to turn this back on?

Unfortunately, it looks like my organisation has disabled the 'editor settings' option. so I can't manually fix this issue.
I hope Microsoft is working to fix this issue because its a big inconvenience.
this is still an option! its just a lot harder to find now.
to toggle the auto caps off you want to click to compose a new email > select "message" from the top bar to the right of home / view / help > click the 3 dots on the far right next to the printer icon > select "editor" > "editor settings" > toggle "enable auto cap" off :)
i am so sad, that as of today - in 2025 - this is still not fixed.
the notion that customers would want an "option" to behave the way they want removed is ridiculous.
