We just switched to the new Outlook and now it will not automatically capitalize like the older version would. Is there any way to turn this back on?

I couldn't agree more. The new outlook is so much harder to use and is no where as user friendly as the old outlook. It seems like we've done nothing but go backwards in time and it just does not work for my busy office. Nobody wants to use it all.
No, I don't believe you can. If it is at the start of the sentence it will capitalize but if it is not i.e. " I was wondering if i could see the moon this evening."

You can turn on Auto capitalisation in the Editors settings, when in a new email.

Thanks everyone for this post. Saved me lots of time trying to figure out how to capitalize the first letter and auto correct i to I.
This was THE feature I found easier to use in Outlook than Gmail. Too bad the new Outlook discarded this feature. I can't believe it. I am switching back to the older version.
Looks like you have to toggle to this setting every time you start a new email.
I need something that'll stick.
Any other suggestions?
