Have upgraded to the new Outlook.
I used to be able to easily share a word doc or pdf version as an attachment onto email.
It currently still loads up the old outlook when using this feature. i want it to open up the new outlook when using the share feature on word.

Same issue here and I have set every single mail protocol default to new Outlook. Also, lost my scan to e-mail from my Canon scanner, which is probably due to the same reason the Send to Mail Recipient doesn't work.
We mostly gave up on the new Outlook.
In a recent poll of our organization (14,000 Office 365 users), not a single one could cite any advantage the New Outlook has from a user's perspective.
With my IT background, I absolutely get it - getting rid of the last remnants of a 27-year old codebase it a Good Thing. From an end user's perspective, I don't give a damn until the productivity tool stops hindering my productivity. Too many features I actually use are missing or implemented haphazardly.
So is there gonna be a fix anytime soon? I just bought a brand new expensive Lenovo to use instead of my Macbook Pro..... Funny how the sharing works great on my Macbook and new Outlook when sharing from inside office programs.... But not on a Windows 11 computer.
If you wish to reply to my post with:
A: You can save the file and then send it from outlook.
B: Change the standard programs set for New outlook (does not work)
C: You can right click the file and choose send
Please dont. You are missing the point.
Absolutely Bonkers. It doesn't work and end users have to find a way round it!
