Sharing from Word to Outlook still opens the old Outlook and not the new one so the emails are not sending.

Have upgraded to the new Outlook.

I used to be able to easily share a word doc or pdf version as an attachment onto email.

It currently still loads up the old outlook when using this feature. i want it to open up the new outlook when using the share feature on word.

I would still be using old but it kept deleting my meetings from my calendar....I am sure it was a tactic to make me move to the new version!

If only there were some alternative we could use that was an actual contender (Sorry Chrome books but just....no...)

I know what you mean. I have had this a few times and need to go back into old outlook to give it enough time to send. It seems to close the outlook window as soon as it is in the outbox but closes too early to send.

Horrendous system, trying to make people use an online version of outlook as their desktop app. Just go back to original and make it work properly!

    We had the same problem.

A user started (NEW) Outlook from a fresh Windows installation. (He never opened Outlook (Classic)
Here are the steps we did.

    1. Close (NEW) Outlook
    2. Open Outlook (Classic)
    3. Login to Outlook (Classic)
    4. When succesfull switch to (NEW) Outlook
    5. Test it

Hope this works for you guys
