Sharing from Word to Outlook still opens the old Outlook and not the new one so the emails are not sending.

Have upgraded to the new Outlook.

I used to be able to easily share a word doc or pdf version as an attachment onto email.

It currently still loads up the old outlook when using this feature. i want it to open up the new outlook when using the share feature on word.

    Hi Tarell,

Do you know what I can do if the switch that says "Try the new Outlook" doesn't appear? Is there a way to work around that?

This worked for me, thank you! All I had to do is toggle off new outlook, then add my hotmail account (Yes I still have a hotmail account from college). After it loaded all the stuff it needed to load I toggled on the new outlook switch in the top right corner and all my emails were there and I was able to share my documents via the new Outlook. It worked for me.

Try uninstalling New Outlook first and then try the switch in Classic Outlook

Thank you so much, this worked for me too! I have been using Outlook for 3 months and regularly send attachments and was finding this issue (like others I had no idea my emails weren't being sent until someone chased me for something and I found it sat in my outbox in my old outlook!).

    So thank you!
