Before I switched to new outlook, I was able to double click on attachments and they would open to their specific apps. Ex. If it was a PDF it would open with Acrobat; If it was a word doc, it would open with word. Now I have to click the download button and it default saves to my downloads folder instead of being put where I want it in the beginning. I also can't drag attachments from an email to the specific folder I want to save it to on my desktop. I have to download and then move it from my downloads folder.
I know it's probably just a new process I'll have to get used to, but hey maybe someone knows a hack!

I've just found out that changing the value to 1 of the below binary string will do the trick:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Appx]
"AllowAllTrustedApps"=dword:00000001
Give it a try!!!
P.S.: of course, you must have admin rights when modifying the registry

Cool!!! Unfortunately, that works for many but not for all.
I don't see that string in the Appx folder using regedit.
How did you get the old version back? I have a new computer and these issues with attachments are driving me crazy. Is old outlook available somewhere?
