I have a Microsoft account and have forgotten the password. I want to sing in with it on some other website or app. The sign in page is showing that they have sent the verification code and if I check my outlook, I have not received any code.

2024-10-14T02:50:48+00:00 While your reply was quick thorough and filled with possibilities, the very fact that 71+ people, now including myself, are having this issue, mean the source of the issue is Microsoft. Period. At the very least not providing a text alternative to send the code as in my case it is my new cellphone that I am trying to link in place of my old cellphone that was linked.
Most every other site that requires a verification code, gives you multiple alternatives to email or of an email address.
