I have a Microsoft account and have forgotten the password. I want to sing in with it on some other website or app. The sign in page is showing that they have sent the verification code and if I check my outlook, I have not received any code.

For those who still have the issue, please read again my method in this thread, page 7. Do all the steps from your phone but tell the system to send the code to your email address (Gmail or yahoo) if you don't have one. you will need to create one.

I had this same issue before, as far as i can tell you microsoft cannot speed up this process. you have to wait till 30 days.
