Outlook 2019 - App Search field

Based on your description: A new "App Search" field has appeared to the right of the normal Search field in Outlook 2019. I would like to cooperate with you working on this case. For my suggestion, you may try following workaround:

1. Firstly, you may try to sign in Outlook Web if getting the same case or not. This will help to identify if this case only happened in Outlook for Windows.

2. If working fine in Outlook on the web, please try to run Outlook in safe mode if working fine nor not. This will help to check any add-ins installed in Outlook which causes this case. If work fine in safe mode, you may try to check and remove add-ins in Outlook.

Steps:

**A.**Close Outlook.

**B.**Launch Outlook in safe mode by choosing one of the following options.

o In Windows 10, choose Start, type Outlook.exe /safe, and press Enter.

o In Windows 7, choose Start, and in the Search programs and files box, type Outlook /safe, and then press Enter.

o In Windows 8, on the Apps menu, choose Run, type Outlook /safe, and then choose OK.

**C.**Close Outlook, and then open it normally.

2. If working fine in Outlook on the web, you may try to re-create another Outlook profile and test it again. Create an Outlook profile - Microsoft Support

4. Outlook works best when it's up to date. We recommend setting Windows Update to automatically download and install recommended updates. Bug fixes, new features, and performance enhancements are released regularly. To install the latest Windows and Office updates, see Install Office updates.
5. If this case still persists, finally you may try to re-install the latest version of Office 365 application and check if working or not.

Today the "App Search" bar appeared to the right of the usual search bar in Outlook desktop

Outlook web have no change.

I have the same issue and know of the work arounds have been able to remove the App Search field. It is a big problem.
