Hi running Outlook 16.79 on Mac Sonoma 14.0 (23A344) and search function doesn't work at all. Any tips would be much appreciated, thanks

Same here - and Microsoft keep suggesting strange solutions via Terminal etc. I see there was an update yesterday, installed today (Nov. 30th). But it does not help, There is a search in the New Outlook. However, this app is not good for so many reasons. In the Legacy Outlook, there is no search.

I have the same issue . . . . search does not work in Outlook - Sonoma - Mac. I don't have a search option in settings.
Same issue for us, 10 desktops, no search results after Sonoma update. No search option that we can find.

- Rebuild the search index: Sometimes the search index can become corrupted, which can cause issues with search. To rebuild the search index, go to Outlook > Preferences > Search > Indexing > Rebuild.
- Check your search settings: Make sure that your search settings are configured correctly. Go to Outlook > Preferences > Search and make sure that the correct folders are selected for search.

There is no Preferences that I know of in the current iteration of New Outlook. There is a Settings which has a Search button and that brings you to this.
You can rebuild your search on the Mac per https://www.unleash.so/a/blog/how-to-rebuild-your-search-index-on-microsoft-outlook-365 or https://support.apple.com/en-us/102321 but it doesn't seem to make a difference.
