Search not working on Outlook 16.79 on Mac Sonoma

Hi running Outlook 16.79 on Mac Sonoma 14.0 (23A344) and search function doesn't work at all. Any tips would be much appreciated, thanks

    This worked for me, although on my version of Sequoia I have.

    System Settings > Spotlight

    Scroll down and click Search Privacy

    Click the + icon

    Select Macintosh HD - then click Choose

    Accept the warning by clicking OK

    Click Done - then click Search Privacy again

    Then select Macintosh HD

    Click the - icon

    Click Done

    NB Close Outlook first

    This variation worked for me.

    1. Click on Outlook on the toolbar
    2. Hover over Services
    3. Click Services Settings
    4. Open the Searching tab
    5. Uncheck Spotlight
    6. Click Done
    7. Click on Outlook on the toolbar
    8. Hover over Services

    9. Click Services Settings

    1. Open the Searching tab
    2. Checkmark Spotlight
    3. Click Done

    I have the latest version of Mac OS and the latest version of the Outlook app. I removed it, cleaned all the libraries, and then reinstalled it. Still, no luck. The search function DOES NOT work. This is extremely disappointing.

    Hi, I am using Outlook version 16.89.1 (24091630). Tried to follow your instructions, but can't find Preferences under Outlook. Checked Outlook > Settings and could not find Search or Indexing option to rebuild. My search issue happens in New Outlook. When switching back to Legacy Outlook, Search option works fine and quick. Please help.

    The only problem is that you'll lose your signatures. I use these quite a bit for templating email communication to my customers.
