I have started having an issue where the Teams Meeting option is not showing up on the ribbon with using the Outlook calendar (three computers so far). It appears the add-in loads correctly, but the icon is not on the ribbon.
I have uninstalled both MS Office and Teams and reinstalled. I have also made sure the load behavior in the registry is correctly set to 3. Two fo the three computers started working out of the blue. The third one the Teams icon is still missing.
I also went to %localappdata%\Microsoft\Outlook\ deleted all the data and started Outlook again. Nothing. The Teams Meeting option is still not showing.

The fix is pretty straightforward, if you use classic outlook then use classic teams. If you happen to upgrade to the latest version 1.2024.103.100 then you can use the new teams with it without any issues.
The New Teams is for some reason seen as web application and not a physical program you install.
And if you are using old outlook it will not pickup the New Teams because its not an application on the computer it self.
I have found if you upgrade to the latest outlook then when creating a meeting you have a slider that you can slide to make it a Teams Meeting again.
This works on Office 365 I have not tested on any older Outlooks.
Do bear in mind it looks like the new outlook is also Web Based and a lot of the addins don't work with it.
Rolling back to the "classic Teams" version worked for me as well. VERY concerned that MS is rolling out updated O365 software that still isn't working properly after more than a month.

Every single time MS runs an Office update Teams gets lost and can't be used. This time I had a client meeting and couldn't open the meeting for the client to join. I had to log into Zoom and start a meeting there. Last time MS updated Office Outlook forgot all my account settings and I had to do a system restore. I called support, but they couldn't fix it and eventually just ghosted me. MS is really bad for small business. I'm going to move to Google. This was truly embarrasing. Please do better.
