When Outlook (new) updated it decided that upon turning on and signing in to my computer, that it would open. I cannot for the life of me find the setting to turn this off. APPS SHOULD NOT OPEN UNLESS I CLICK THE ICON.

I deleted Windows Mail and now I don't have Outlook starting randomly. Apparently when Outlook forced the change, it left Mail running, although you couldn't open it.I hate Outlook so much!

Found how to do that. I had mail pinned to my taskbar so right clicked on it and selected uninstall. Trouble is that I have lost the Calendar as well - annoying.

Yes, that's it. So far it's worked for me, although I keep expecting it to screw up every time I turn on the computer. I am surprised you lost the calendar. I never use it, but it's still there in Outlook, over on the left.

Thanks. You are correct. I didn't look there just noticed that I lost the app named mail & calendar. Now to sort out how to set up to use two different email addresses/account. I am hoping this will help me - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z693T0VxyAA&ab_channel=JeffPospisil
