When Outlook (new) updated it decided that upon turning on and signing in to my computer, that it would open. I cannot for the life of me find the setting to turn this off. APPS SHOULD NOT OPEN UNLESS I CLICK THE ICON.

Right-click on the taskbar on your computer and select Task Manager. 2. Go to the Startup tab. 3. Find Outlook in the list Right-click on "Enabled" and click "Disable" to disable it from automatically starting This should automatically stop Outlook from opening when you start your computer If you have any questions, please let me know I will be more than happy to help you further. I have been looking for a solution to the same problem and now I have found one setting that affects the same problem.

I'm trying to solve the same problem and found a setting that affects Outlook (new) email auto-start. Outlook (new) can start, even every hour automatically again and again.
I haven't had the issue with outlook since I uninstalled the Windows Mail program that came on the computer. Microsoft needs to get their program under control
I have the same problem and I like Thunderbird. One client and you can have as many different email accounts as you want in one location. They just launched the mobile app as well I believe.
