When Outlook (new) updated it decided that upon turning on and signing in to my computer, that it would open. I cannot for the life of me find the setting to turn this off. APPS SHOULD NOT OPEN UNLESS I CLICK THE ICON.

I tried all the recommended solutions but nothing worked for me until I used "repair" - > apps & features -> search for Outlook -> click on Outlook -> click on Advanced options -> Look under RESET for "Repair". I hope it works for you too :-)
I have two hotmail email accounts one accessed by the 'app' and one via a web link (on my desktop). One is accessed via a link in my 'homepage' and the other via the Task Bar - I set these up so that I can log into either without having the change/enter my username and password. It seems that the one accessed via the task bar is causing it to automatically start even though I have it open.
Is it possible to set up two separate 'links' via my home page which will result in a login to one or the other?
Sometimes yes, sometimes no, but I'm too lazy to change :-(
I am fast beginning to hate outlook and start looking for another app and/or email clients. Maybe Gmail.
Abu, I tried your instructions but I don't have Outlook there either. I'm ready to uninstall it.
