How to TURN OFF auto start of OUTLOOK (NEW) on computer?

When Outlook (new) updated it decided that upon turning on and signing in to my computer, that it would open. I cannot for the life of me find the setting to turn this off. APPS SHOULD NOT OPEN UNLESS I CLICK THE ICON.

    Can someone who actually works at Microsoft offer the definitive answer to...."How do I stop (NEW) Outlook from re-installing after I uninstall it"

    That's what worked for me as well, although I didn't bother with the Avg tune up. Maybe I will do that with another program I have. Uninstalling mail worked well for me, but it infuriates me that Microsoft didn't straighten their stuff out before forcing people into using it.

    I answered my own question about why Outlook 2016 starts at boot when it is not in any startup list. I still do not know why it happens, but I was able to stop it from starting automatically. In Windows 10, by going to Settings >> APPS and looking for Office in the App list, I found two entries for MS Office, one for (Office) New Outlook and one for Office 2016. By UNINSTALLING the offending 2016 entry, it no longer starts at boot. I credit information from tenforums in this topic for the APPS information.
