Here's an idea : Instead of the user having to spend countless hours pissing around with this issue - how about MICROSOFT FIXES IT?

To Turn Off the auto start of Outlook ( New) Using Task Manager on your Computer

    1. Right-click on the taskbar on your computer and select Task Manager.
    2. Go to the Startup tab.
    3. Find Outlook in the list Right-click on "Enabled" and click "Disable" to disable it from automatically starting

This should automatically stop Outlook from opening when you start your computer

I'm not sure if I need to clarify, but I am talking about in Windows, not in outlook. When I click Start, then settings, then account, my menu on the left under accounts reads:

    Your info

    Email & accounts

    sign-in options

    access work or school

    windows backup

I am using a microsoft account, not local account. I'm not sure if that makes a difference, but it is a generic microsoft account, not one from an organization.
