The New Outlook does not appear to have Field Chooser to customize Outlook Folders

I need to know how to add columns to my Outlook Folders. Those settings did not migrate to the new Outlook. There is no option to change columns with the Field Chooser. Very frustrating. Please help!!

    I find this solution online and it worked for my M365 Outlook account. https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/outlook/column-heading-row-missing-in-outlookk-2016-for-subfolders/m-p/126090

    Finally found the solution. Under views we edited his view and unchecked "User compact layout in width smaller than 125 characters" and this put the header row back in. This was checked by default. I am not sure if this is something that has changed or just some oddity. (see print screen below) Regardless this allowed the header row to come back.

    Hope it works for everyone else here.

    Hi Rod,

    Could not find any of the options in the article which is from 2017. The new version has a column view which is absolutely locked and no conceivable way to change. The ability to organise by items with attachments, size, type all seem to have vanished.

    Not sure if this has worked for anyone with the latest (as of Jun 2024) client (not web client).

    The solution offered does not work for me. I need to be able to select on categories or any other item I wish.

    I have a header row, that's not the problem.

    It only includes From, Subject and Received.

    I want to filter and sort on Size, Category, and To as well as From in the same view.

    it is NOT acceptable not to provide the field chooser.
