Install Copilot to outlook

Hello,

I have install copilot on my desktop but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to install this into my outlook ( I am signed in). I have this and it is not working either.

  1. Launch Outlook.
  2. Click on the File menu.
  3. Select Options near the bottom left.
  4. Under Compose messages, check the checkbox for Enable Microsoft 365 Copilot.
  5. If you can’t find the option, click the Editor Options button.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I have the same problem. It's 8/13/24 and I've confirmed my Office is up to date.

    Here are screenshots of both my "Compose Messages" area and "Editor Options" config screens:

    No Copilot for Outlook for me! :( -Mark

    For Copilot to work on Outlook you need:

    1. Copilot Pro for Office
    2. A Microsoft mailbox. This means outlook.com, hotmail, etc or Exchange. If you are using Exchange, the email address must also be associated with a Copilot Pro license.

    For Exchange, the fine print is that both Outlook AND the Exchange mailbox need licenses. If they are not under the same email address / account, this means two licenses. (yes, this is VERY uncool)!

    Hello Ashwinkumar.

    My response was for Outlook 365 desktop version (classic) - or another desktop version of outlook 365 (excel, word etc).

    For outlook mail, if you are using an account that is licensed with Copilot for 365, remove the account and add it back to outlook mail and copilot will be there.

    I'm using Outlook Classic and have looked in all the areas mentioned above but still cannot find where to activate Copilot on my Outlook Classic. I'm a Preimium Office 365 business user.

    Any other tips?
