Install Copilot to outlook

Hello,

I have install copilot on my desktop but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to install this into my outlook ( I am signed in). I have this and it is not working either.

  1. Launch Outlook.
  2. Click on the File menu.
  3. Select Options near the bottom left.
  4. Under Compose messages, check the checkbox for Enable Microsoft 365 Copilot.
  5. If you can’t find the option, click the Editor Options button.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    no, I do have copilot as a separate app. I think to have COPIlot in Outlook you need pay a separate licence even if you have a full office 365 account

    I am the same. This is so frustrating. I just need to use Copilot with Teams and when I do it says I need to log into Copilot in Outlook.
    I can't install Copilot for Outlook.
    Why does it have to be so confusing Microsoft?

    Currently (Jun 2024), for Copilot to work on Outlook you need:

    1. Copilot Pro for Office
    2. A Microsoft mailbox. This means outlook.com, hotmail, etc or Exchange. If you are using Exchange, the email address must also be associated with a Copilot Pro license.

    So... if you have Office365 personal (individual or family) and you get Copilot Pro for it:

    • If you have outlook.com / hotmail / etc, Copilot will work on Outlook
    • If you use Outlook with Exchange, you will need a second Copilot Pro license for the Exchange mailbox.

    If you are an Exchange user, the fine print is that both Outlook AND the Exchange mailbox need licenses. If they are not under the same email address / account, this means two licenses.

    Did you get a resolution to this?

    I switched across to New Outlook and still don't have copilot options. It's down in the bottom right hand corner of Windows but not available in Outlook to help draft emails.

    Yes, true, I loose a lot of settings and shared mailboxes, cant find any menu I always used, you loose a lot of time, then still couldnt find copilot so, no use for using the new outlook
