Email Attachments in the new version of outlook.

I use the new version of outlook. The drop down menu for attachments, suggests three files; none is the most recent file used/saved. I have to go into my word documents folders, find the file, and open it to attach it to an email. How can I get the drop down menu of suggested files to display my most recently worked on file?

    Agreed - this is ridiculous and an easy thing to fix. Revert back to old outlook format of recent files.

    This seems to be working now. I tested opening existing file and making no changes, opening and updating - and in both desktop and web apps and they are all showing up almost immediately under Suggested Files (although only the last 3)....

    But if you click on the option there that says OneDrive, you'll see all the Recent ones to choose from (even if they're stored in a Shared location, not your OneDrive)

    +1 to this issue. I believe it's still present.

    More people should be upvoting and commenting on this post in the MS Feedback Portal. Only 7 votes in 12 months, would explain why nothing's being done about it.

    This is literally the only reason i'm not using the new version of Outlook. It's incredible how one small feature and/or software bug can alter the user experience entirely.

    I will NOT use the New Outlook, until this feature works as in Old Outlook. I want to see the most recently Saved files to my desktop on the Suggested files list, period.

    Its easy. After you press the paperclip icon to attach a file, click 'browse this computer" then, the crucial step, press the 'Home" tab you see on the left. That will then list 'quick access' 'favourites' and 'recent' . Why this extra step is needed, who knows....
