I use the new version of outlook. The drop down menu for attachments, suggests three files; none is the most recent file used/saved. I have to go into my word documents folders, find the file, and open it to attach it to an email. How can I get the drop down menu of suggested files to display my most recently worked on file?

2025-06-25T18:32:19+00:00 It's June 25, 2025, and Microsoft has not resolved the issue. I am using New Outlook, and the "Suggested files" to attached are older files. The latest file that I have opened is never listed. It works in old Outlook, but it still doesn't work in new Outlook.

2025-05-19T22:05:40+00:00 I have this same issue, and I use OneDrive, however, because I have two OneDrive accounts on my computer, both a personal account and a work account due to being a remote worker, it only shows me files saved to my personal account rather than my work account, which is useless since I only use Outlook for work, but it won't show me my work files.
It used to work fine when it was recent files because then it didn't matter which one drive account was used, it just showed me the most recently saved or edited files. I am always editing files and emailing them to people for work, and this useless change has slowed down my workflow considerably.
Please change it back or at least give us the option to choose which One Drive account to suggest files from. Otherwise, you are penalizing people for using multiple One Drive accounts. This is terrible design.

2025-04-24T14:12:25+00:00 They can suggest that I use the New Outlook version a million times and I will NOT use it until this is resolved.
Native Outlook works beautifully with this feature and will stay as long as I can. It's ridiculous that MSFT wants to force users to use OneDrive, that's why they don't change this. They want to shove OneDrive down your throat.
