Email Attachments in the new version of outlook.

I have been saving my files in dropbox, And in the classic outlook it was not a problem to attach these recent files for years.  I cannot fathom why anyone in their right mind would change to this. it's is cause enough for me to not want to use the new outlook, but when I click the button to go back to classic outlook the window closes and I have no way to open classic outlook.

This behavior and the software forcing us to use other Microsoft products seems highly unethical if not illegal.

At the least its enough of a headache that it may precipitate reassessing options to replace outlook and for that matter all of office 365!

Right. They are making things harder than they used to be for no discernible reason.

I've just moved to Windows 11 and realised you can no longer drag a file down to the taskbar to switch windows, which is another easy way you could get a file you were looking at into your email. You can only drag a file into an email if you happen to have both the folder and your email open on your screen(s) already.

Can you please share the step-by-step process for how to do each of these?

I use Outlook 16.86 for Mac. I don't see the point in the new, intermittent drop-down menu, which is only giving the options "Browse this Mac", the cloud, and "Insert link" (if I wanted to do that, I would have pressed that button and not "attach") and offers a list of random old (Microsoft-only) files I once attached. Just provide a browser window with a drop-down of recent files (of all types)?!

i have only one account in Outlook, so I don't think that's the problem. I do save files to OneDrive... So, it's a puzzle to me why new documents are displayed but recently saved edited documents are not.
