Why is Mac Outlook Legacy not working today?

I am a support consultant for many customers. Getting a bunch of calls this morning (03/21/2024) about Legacy Mac version 16.8x and above not syncing.
If they switch to New Outlook, no issues. Online is also working.
Why would Legacy stop working today for some? Running Mac OS X 13.x and 14.x with same issue.
Please advise.

Can't confirm, my account is still not working.
Will inform support team now to raise ticket with MS Exchange support - obviously they do not follow that thread and somehow seem to not really care at all.

2024-03-28T07:34:39+00:00 Thursday, March 28th . 8:30 am CET: STILL NOT WORKING. In few hours we will celebrate 1 FULL WEEK without LEGACY OUTLOOK connection. STILL NO COMMUNICATION from MICROSOFT.
