I am a support consultant for many customers. Getting a bunch of calls this morning (03/21/2024) about Legacy Mac version 16.8x and above not syncing.
If they switch to New Outlook, no issues. Online is also working.
Why would Legacy stop working today for some? Running Mac OS X 13.x and 14.x with same issue.
Please advise.

So much for the update we were supposed to get today. That updated was supposed to come over an hour ago now.
Mac Legacy Outlook still not working.
UPDATE from Microsoft did come:
Current status: During our period of extended monitoring, we identified that while the majority of users are remediated, the deployment paused momentarily and impact persists for some. The deployment has resumed its progress and we'll update as more information becomes available regarding the timeline of full remediation.
They are really having a laugh with us here. Since days it's not possible for us to receive any emails, because (MacOs) Legacy Outlook can't connect to the Exchange servers. This so called "New Outlook" is absolutely unusable, especially in a professional environment and now we are forced to use the web version, which is also useless,... There's no note no ETA from Microsoft, when this will be fixed and we have to pay for that. Ridiculous, really.
