Why is Mac Outlook Legacy not working today?

I am a support consultant for many customers. Getting a bunch of calls this morning (03/21/2024) about Legacy Mac version 16.8x and above not syncing.

If they switch to New Outlook, no issues. Online is also working.

Why would Legacy stop working today for some? Running Mac OS X 13.x and 14.x with same issue.

Please advise.

    Hi — this was not a MacBook issue. To see if this is the same issue that this thread was about, simply change from Legacy Outlook to the New Outlook. If the New Outlook works and Legacy doesn't, then it may be related to this thread. Although by all accounts the specific issue that this thread was about has been resolved. And we sure hope to not see a reoccurrence of it.

    And I guess it never hurts to take the opportunity to note that the whole Legacy/New concern would not be an issue if Microsoft simply made the now-quite-old "New" version a workable, professional-level email program like the Legacy version (mostly) is.

    Hello

    I have this issue today on legacy Outlook on my MacBook Air. I reinstalled Outlook and after refreshing my emails came in except all those from 23 March. I have opened it now and the Window is saying 'INBOX: Determining changes'. Then 'all folders up to date'. But they are not. And I am not receiving any emails now.

    What is going on? It is important that I can access my emails on my Mac using Outlook. Or are MacBooks now incompatible with Outlook?

    MacOS Monterey Version 12.7.4(21H123)

    I can confirm that we have this solved too, this here is the build version we now are on:

    AdminDisplayVersion : Version 15.20 (Build 7409.46)

    Dear Support legacy outlook for Mac is working but Calendar entries are not showing in Legacy outlook but when using New outlook or outlook for web all Calendars are showing.

    Pls help how do I see my Calendar entries in Legacy outlook for mac.
