Why is Mac Outlook Legacy not working today?

I am a support consultant for many customers. Getting a bunch of calls this morning (03/21/2024) about Legacy Mac version 16.8x and above not syncing.

If they switch to New Outlook, no issues. Online is also working.

Why would Legacy stop working today for some? Running Mac OS X 13.x and 14.x with same issue.

Please advise.

Can't confirm it works, unfortunately - still no connection - but also no Update in Mac App Store

(Outlook was pushed via MDM, no manual installation, no option to switch to beta channel)

So I'm stuck with version 16.83.1 not working

This whole situation is just ridiculous ...

In my testing, this problem has been fixed.

I also note that MS has updated Outlook to version 16.83.2
