Why is Mac Outlook Legacy not working today?

I am a support consultant for many customers. Getting a bunch of calls this morning (03/21/2024) about Legacy Mac version 16.8x and above not syncing.

If they switch to New Outlook, no issues. Online is also working.

Why would Legacy stop working today for some? Running Mac OS X 13.x and 14.x with same issue.

Please advise.

This is not a software (Outlook) issue. It's an Exchange issue.

The same problem in my company, we can't use legacy, some users are still working without issues but others don't want the 'new outlook.' We need a solution right now. They must have made some correction for it to fail in some profiles and not in others
