I am a support consultant for many customers. Getting a bunch of calls this morning (03/21/2024) about Legacy Mac version 16.8x and above not syncing.
If they switch to New Outlook, no issues. Online is also working.
Why would Legacy stop working today for some? Running Mac OS X 13.x and 14.x with same issue.
Please advise.

I have the same issue since friday at 14.00 CET. I am on Outlook 16.83.1. I agree that the old Outlook should not be called "legacy", and the new Outlook is not anything more than a pre-Beta version with a subset of features from the old Outlook which does not make sense at all.

Working for me. But unbelievable that MSFT did this. And, why do they have to call it Legacy when it's what everyone wants?
The next update is long overdue. As an end user who found this before reaching out to corporate IT and tracked it for days now I can tell you this problem is devastating for productivity and that "New Outlook" is missing too many features to be feasible to any of your users that do anything technical with Outlook on Mac. Please tell us this isn't being treated as a 5-day/week issue by MSFT.
