Microsoft Read Aloud for New Outlook

Hi - I am having the same issue. I was funded via access to work for read and write - however I chose to decline it this year as I was using the read out loud function. Now I really regret my choice as the function has gone in outlook.

I find it really unhelpful for Microsoft to make a sweeping judgement that everyone who needs to hear their drafts and emails needs to have immersive reader - how about actually giving the customers a choice.

As you can tell - I am getting really exasperated.

If anyone found a fix - please let me know.

I got frustrated with my workaround using Word and reverted to the previous version of Outlook. Hopefully Microsoft will add the Read Aloud feature soon.

It's five months since this question was asked. I'm asking my workplace (a university) to not move to New Outlook because of the lack of support for those with dyslexia.

@Microsoft can you please give us an update on when this important (and previously available) feature will be included in New Outlook? You also need to expand your beta testing group if issues like these are not getting picked up.

When will you bring read-aloud function while "drafting a new email" back? It is critical for people with dyslexia.
