Microsoft Read Aloud for New Outlook

Help! Where is read aloud?

I wish Microsoft would respond to the many great points about having the READ function while drafting emails.

Me too, I am reverting back to Classic Outlook, and obviously having to miss the Copilot integration. Why did MS "fix" what was not broken? Do they even care about the negative impact?

Doesn't disabling the READ ALOUD feature in the new Outlook fall under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)?

Please turn the Read Aloud feature back on (while drafting an outgoing email). I can only currently use the Read Aloud feature for emails coming in from others. Multiple people in this thread have commented about their disability. Please help.

100% agreed. MS bring back the read aloud feature for both incoming and drafteed emails. That Ïmersive Reader" feature is a bizarre hollow mockery.

It is not the same as the classic Outlook "Read Aloud". The Immersive Reader is a pain, it requires you to double-click each email (resulting in tonnes of open emails) and visual of the text is bizarre. And how do you read aloud a text you have just drafted, to help listen, make sense and correct? Why not keep the simple ability of placing a cursor over any text (incoming or drafted), right-click and select "Read Aloud"? How do you read your emails on your mobile phone? Why was Cortana removed? Is there any replacement feature we are not aware off? Is Microsoft telling us to go back to Apple native mail?

The read aloud feature in old outlook was a great time saver. I used it to both read my incoming emails and my email drafts. It was a real time saver for me. it is important enough to me that i will not utilize the new outlook until this feature is added. the immersive reader is not an adequate substitute for this feature.

I fully agree. The read-aloud in both email cases (incoming and drafted) by a simple right click, was not just a great time saver, it was essential to those of us who are visually challenged. Similarly, having Cortana read-aloud emails on the phone made a huge difference. Unfortunately, Microsoft does not seem to care with the negative impact on a discrimated population. Shame, MS :(
