Microsoft Read Aloud for New Outlook

The read aloud feature in old outlook was a great time saver. I used it to both read my incoming emails and my email drafts. It was a real time saver for me. it is important enough to me that i will not utilize the new outlook until this feature is added. the immersive reader is not an adequate substitute for this feature.

I fully agree. The read-aloud in both email cases (incoming and drafted) by a simple right click, was not just a great time saver, it was essential to those of us who are visually challenged. Similarly, having Cortana read-aloud emails on the phone made a huge difference. Unfortunately, Microsoft does not seem to care with the negative impact on a discrimated population. Shame, MS :(

You updated MS Outlook and decided to discriminate against people who may need to hear how the e-mail sounds when drafting a response. Fix it now.

Stop adding useless features and UI changes for the sake of keeping programers employeed. The new outlook was not ready for release, It should have been beta tested longer and issues fixed before telling companies to upgrade. You are acting in bad faith when you intentially push for customer to update knowing that you have a faulty product.

Should this be an example of AI programing then your AI needs better logic or data sets to work from.

Such a good point.

I hope they bring back Ctrl + Alt + Space soon. It was simple and practical, just what was needed without altering the workspace, unlike when the 'Immersive Reader' opens, which is a visual pain.

Until then, it's Ctrl + C and off to another program to read properly.
