I am totally at a loss why Microsoft would remove such an important function in their "New Version". Hopefully they will bring this functionality back very soon.
Now it´s November 2024 - and this function still missing - so turned immediately back to old version :-(
Any updates Microsoft ?
Depends on what you want to do with the edit function. I used to be able to add in a note for sent invoices with a date of payment. To overcome the lack of editing I now forward the mail to myself, which allows text to be added. Not sure if you can delete stuff, I haven’t tried.
This is exactly my use case, and I use the same workaround. I only just found this thread, as I had assumed that it was my own ignorance that was hiding the "edit message" function from me. But apparently not!
What an incredible **** show this New Outlook is, Microsoft is soooooo pathetic. And going back to Old Outlook is not possible since you made it not work for Outlook email addresses that I so foolishly adopted. Anyone who relies on Microsoft will wind up screwed royally.
