For some reason when my outlook app is not showing new emails, so I searched online and the advice on Microsoft site was to clear the apps cache and storage (which I did)
This has obviously removed all my setting on my phone so when i go into the app again it asked me to log in again, when i click this is automatically detects my outlook email address, I clock on this (it doesn't ask for password BTW - but i did try to just enter my email and password but same error message) but then just come up with an error saying " error occurred during authentication. Please try again later"
I am using the latest version of Outlook for Android app (27 Feb 2024) - 4.2405.2 (42405820).
I am using Android 14.
I started experiencing this issue today, Feb 27, 2024 as soon as I downloaded the Outlook app for Android.
I can log in successfully to this Yahoo Mail account, using Outlook for Windows, web etc. Only Outlook for Android is a problem.
I had issues with Google and Outlook accounts but then somehow they were resolved when suddenly the Outlook was able to sign in, even when there was the same error message displayed.
How can this be fixed, I need access to my emails asap

To add to that, Add YAHOO email account to OUTLOOK FIRST before adding any other account at all to your phone.

In other words, start with a clean phone install and download outlook as if you just got a new phone. After downloading outlook add Yahoo mail.
DO NOT ADD ANY ACCOUNT TO YOUR PHONE BEFORE ADDING YAHOO MAIL TO OUTLOOK!!!!
